Fü'd.

The other day, Maxwell Sheffield-Rosenthal, put an end to his 5-week-long hunger strike.

We were unsure of the reasons for his refusal to eat, or what his motives were, but we were relieved to see that he had once again decided to consume his Top Fin Betta Bits.

It was seriously, as if, Maxwell knew about the rest of the trouble that the family had been going through, and decided to start eating so that we would have one less thing to worry about.

I speak for the entire nuclear Rosenthal family when i say, Maxwell, we're glad that you're back in the game.

Meanwhile, father Rosenthal is doing okay in the hospital. Yesterday we watched Back to the Future, which was a first for me, and today we watched about 3 hours of arena football, on and off. He's also got a nice view of the sun setting. Sometime soon he should be transferred to a rehab center so he can start walking, and then back home. I can't wait.

Why Ryan and I rule pretty hard...

Sigur Ros enthal: i couldnt find the power bomb
TheRaskalKing: are you talking about super metroid?
Sigur Ros enthal: yeah, what else would i be talking about?
TheRaskalKing: just making sure we're on the same page before i tell you where it is
TheRaskalKing: it's in brinstar
TheRaskalKing: today must have been one of the most ludacris day's of my life haha..

taking a nap because linoleum floor isnt the best bedding material to get a good nights sleep on.
TheRaskalKing: apparently he thinks the correct spelling of ludicrous is the one the rapper uses
Sigur Ros enthal: what a loser
Sigur Ros enthal: i couldnt find it in brinstar
Sigur Ros enthal: i looked for like an hour
TheRaskalKing: it's in the "red" area
TheRaskalKing: you need the ice beam
Sigur Ros enthal: ice beam?
TheRaskalKing: yes
TheRaskalKing: you need the ice beam first
TheRaskalKing: it's in norfair
TheRaskalKing: do you have the speed booster?
Sigur Ros enthal: no
TheRaskalKing: wow
TheRaskalKing: you have the super missiles right?
Sigur Ros enthal: to get through orange gates your need power bombs right?
TheRaskalKing: yeah
TheRaskalKing: power bombs come later in the game
Sigur Ros enthal: yeah i just got super missiles
TheRaskalKing: ok
TheRaskalKing: don't worry about power bombs now
Sigur Ros enthal: ryan, what is it i need to be focusing on
TheRaskalKing: do you have the charge beam?
Sigur Ros enthal: yes
TheRaskalKing: k
TheRaskalKing: after you get the super missiles you have to go to the second part of brinstar and fight kraid
Sigur Ros enthal: the gold guy?
TheRaskalKing: he looks like a big green dinosaur-like monster
TheRaskalKing: you know you're getting closer to kraid when you're in the part of brinstar that doesn't have any plants and is all reddish
Sigur Ros enthal: pink?
TheRaskalKing: not pink
Sigur Ros enthal: there's that big pink part right before you get the super missles
TheRaskalKing: no not that part
Sigur Ros enthal: i was stuck in there and didnt know where to go
TheRaskalKing: you know that part where you found the charge beam?
Sigur Ros enthal: on the bottom left i think
TheRaskalKing: yeah go down there, and there's a small passageway you can bomb and roll yourself into
TheRaskalKing: then you see a green door; use a super missile
TheRaskalKing: follow that path and you'll eventually get to the second part of brinstar (you'll know it when the music changes)
Sigur Ros enthal: i thought i tried going in there
TheRaskalKing: try again
TheRaskalKing: i'm pretty sure that's the way to take

Skating with Celebrities has just ended, and I thought my mom was calling me up for a re-cap of the show. But no, she was notifying me that my dad had been hit by a bus while he was walking to his car.

She was not sure of the severity, but after I had been pacing around for an hour, and receiving another call from Mom, I knew I had to go home. Nick and Jared got a car and drove me all the way to Robert Wood Johnson Univ. Hospital in New Brunswick, so I seriously couldn't ask for better roomates.

That night and the past 2 days seem like a blur. My dad is recovering, but he's got quite a few broken ribs, a broken collarbone, and an assortment of internal injuries. We are just unsure of how this accident occurred in the first place, and even he cannot be 100% since it hit him from behind.

Today was his 54th Birthday, and it made me really sad that he had to spend it in the hospital. I visited him this morning with my mom and gave him a Johnny Damon t-shirt, and he was pretty excited about it, expressing it as much as he could given the circumstances.

I came back to school today (Weds.) but I'll be going home again tomorrow night to be there for my mom, and to hopefully bring my dad home sometime this weekend. I'll be missing our party on Saturday, but I love my mom and dad and being with them in a time of need is something which obviously takes precidence over a party. I'll get to watch lots of TV with my dad, and eat lots of different kinds of cookies.

truANT.

So I'm back in Philly, and Nick is here. It's been good. I am Jonesin' for some sushi, yet I am pissed off about my TV production class.

Break ended up being nice. The beach was fun.

I've been listening to the new Madonna record a whole bunch.

And I've been collecting vinyl, because I'm better than most.

07 January 2006

Snack attack mothafucka!

Well I'm back in Philly for 3 days, working on this film. It's insane, and the crew says me and my buddy Jay do it better than any other audio people they've worked with.

I'll be back Sunday for most of the Giant game, and then to see ya'll until I leave fo' real on Friday. Hit me up!

...But before I left, Matt, James, and I set out on a fucked up adventure in the woods of Marlboro, NJ:

03 January 2006

about two weeks of vacation left

I've been somewhat busy since I came home about two weeks ago. But I cannot recall much of what I have been doing, besides seeing King Kong on Christmas, playing lots of super nintendo, and setting up my home theater system (which was like two whole days).

Rainy weather totally sucks. Snow in the forecast will make this homestand more enjoyable.

New years is a pretty stupid holiday. Midnight is always insignificant and forgettable about two minutes after it happens. Thank god I was with some pretty kool kats that night, including two of my soulmates.

But that night someone threw up what looked like tomato rice soup, right next to me, and some of it may have splashed onto my Adidas. I was fucking terrified and pissed off.

We'll see what happens over the next week or so.
Until then, my break, so far, in photos:

23 December 2005

Back in Jersey

Yeah. So. I'm home. I slept eleven and a half hours last night. And I managed, so far, to have one B+ changed to an A-.

21 December 2005

I got my grades tonight

Even with the slight doubt that I had, I did, in fact, make Dean's List again with a 3.51 GPA for the semester. This lowers my overall average.

An A, an A-, and 3 B+'s.
I hate B+'s, because they're horseshit.
They just make me feel like I should've put in extra effort for an A-.
I am also fighting to raise two B+'s to an A-. It can't hurt to try.

On another note, so that I'm not just talking about myself, I'm going home tomorrow. Don't know how long I'll be there, but I have a dentist appointment on the 27th which I've been looking forward to for quite a while.

18 December 2005

jared ruined korean food for me

He left cabbage and sardines or something in the garbage, for a few hours. It was bad. I don't want to be associated with korean food for a while.

Last night i got depressed. It's a monthly thing. Sucks.

Sinbad is hosting showtime at the apollo.

I am having quite a ball listening to The Darkness.

I hate elitist pieces of shit.

Some weird middle-aged man would not stop talking to me about bikes tonight. For like 10 minutes. He enjoyed my bike and gear. Thoroughly enjoyed.

Christmas hates jews.

16 December 2005

I'm done.

Done for the semester. The OC won't be on again until 2006.

Nick texted me today from the airplane, on his way back into the US. We'll see him soon, and throw him a party.

Chinatown tomorrow, perhaps. Plus Korean Food. Minus things to do.

Time to watch Spanglish again. That movie was good.

15 December 2005

I have one more final left

Tomorrow is my last final and last day of work. I'll be done. Then I will be trying some new cuisine, freezing my tushie off, and buying presents for a few people.

But I don't know when I'll be going back home. Sometime next week. I'd do some of the things in Philly that I've had no time for, than go back home right away. Feel free to visit, for the three of you out there who actually like me. HAHA.

My final audio project is amazing. Lemme know what you think!

14 December 2005

I really like scented candles...

And I downloaded three Madonna albums today.

But I swear I'm not gay.

08 December 2005

A day off!

Tomorrow is my first full day off of the semester. No school. No working at the library. I'm taking advantage of the free time by getting a Belgian Waffle, first thing when I wake up.

Tonight was the coldest night of the year so far, and to celebrate, I decided to go for a bike ride. It was good. Intense.

I've watched about 3 hours of Full House over the past 2 days, because I bought season two on DVD.

06 December 2005

Snowstorm #2

These things always sound like they're going to be a lot worse than they are. Four to six inches were predicted, but I'll be surprised if I wake up in the morning to see more than an inch anywhere.

But, I do like this snow stuff.

04 December 2005

First snowfall in quite a while

Patrons of the Irish Pub seriously need to shut the fuck up. Right now.

01 December 2005

It's December!

Philadelphia is preparing for the holiday season. Christmas lights went up around City Hall today, making it look like a candy-coated house. Or a candy-coated version of City Hall.

Tomorrow Rittenhouse Square gets lights, so I'll try and come up with a childish comparison when I see them.

I thought the Full House Season 2 DVD set came out today, since Tower was advertising it as being on sale. But no, it comes out next week. I was going to buy it, too. Since I did not, and I have had time to think about it, I probably won't buy it anymore.

Candy-coated City Hall
Note: Say that 3 times fast

29 November 2005

Today was warm.

Perhaps global warming is to blame for today's 68 degree weather.
Note: We're 3 days away from December.

Santa's Couch, King of Prussia Mall, 4:30am.

Back 2 School

Thanksgiving break was aight. I liked being home and doing nothing. Seriously nothing. I tried as hard to do nothing for as much of the time I was home that I could. I'll explain in a minute.

So Thursday came, and at Dave's house we eat dinner late. Unlike some of the 3 or 4pm dinners that some have on Thanksgiving, we started eating at around 8:30, which may be the earliest of any year I've been there. There was plenty of food and a plethora of desserts, and i was able to eat lots of chocolate after 5pm for like the first time ever. We went home, and me and my sister watched Elf. Then it was time.

I went and picked up Dan and Max, and then Jared. We were on our way to the King of Prussia Mall at 4am. After a quick
stop at Dunkin' Donuts, we were parked by 4:30am and in the mall. The whole night/morning was a blur, to be honest. I just remember walking a whole lot, including going outside to transfer between the two main building, and peeing a lot from the coffee I drank.

Of course Bloomingdale's and Diesel had no sales whatsoever. They were the reason that I went, so why would the
y have? McDonalds breakfast at 10:59am was clutch, but cold and hard since we got the last breakfast food available. Driving home was insane. I was fucking tired, but I just wanted to get home. At red lights I was dozing off, and Dan and Max were both sleeping. I wish they were awake so I would be alert in a teamwork effort of some sort, but I can't blame them for being tired. I was spraying that new Listering PocketMist into my mouth constantly to keep me awake. Like 8 sprays at a time, every few minutes. Then I finally got home, after being awake for about 27 straight hours and driving a lot. It was one of the more difficult experiences in my driving career, and I hope to not do it again for a while.

All in all, a disappointing day with the purchases, but quite a fucked up experience, regardless.

I got home , slept for 5 hours, then went out for Hibachi. Then we went food shopping and to Target, which is my type of Friday night. I went home and did more nothing, which included watching Seinfeld DVDs for 5 hours. People called me to do shit, but I wasn't leaving my living room/kitchen. Ron and Jordan came and watched TV too. They must have been pretty bored.

Saturday I was back at the mall. Freehold this time. My sister wanted to go. I bought some shit this time, such as sweet sock s at Uniqlo. It's a new store, and it's good. Matt, Ryan, and Ron were at the mall, too. Well Ron came to eat food, and then I ate some of his. Same deal that night, though. Kindergarten Cop was on TV, and from that point I knew I was staying in again. I watched that, then some more Seinfeld on DVD, and then Alf on DVD. It was awesome. Again I turned down going out for staying in and doing nothing.

And there was a Full House marathon on ABC Family today. I forgot how much I truly love that show. The epsiode where Stephanie drove the car into the kitchen was on today. Then I came back here. I'll be done in less than 3 weeks.

Mr. Sheffield felt like staying in New Jersey.

Approximately 5:39am.

Bono's awake.

Waiting for Bloomingdales to open.

Sunrise, not sunset.

22 November 2005

Turkey Day Break

I'm going home tonight, then coming back to go to King of Prussia Mall at 4:15am on Friday, then going home again, and then coming back to Pennsylvania again on Sunday.

You can call me. I'll be around.

My ride.
